Before going in Kuwait, what you must know

Italian

Allah' ukbar...Allah' ukbar...ashedu anna la ileh...illallah. anna Mohammad rassul Allah...

"Allah' ukbar" is the song of the so-called "Imam", a religious man that invites to the prayer from his minaret . When you go to an Arabic country, you get used to this prayer immediately.

T
he every day, obligatory prayers for a good Muslim are five: at dawn adhan , at noon, after lunch, towards sunset and in the evening.

T
he first days I was in Kuwait, the call of the prayer woke me up at dawn suddenly. In time I learned to appreciate this call. And so I began to say my prayers ... I didn't say the Allah' ukbar... but the "Our Father ..."

W
e spend a lot of time with our friends in order to have fun! I think it's good to dedicate a few moments of our day to God as well...

I
n Kuwait there is a beautiful Catholic church, where groups of Philippines and Indians meet on Sundays for the Mass. The Papal Nuncio has been living in the country for about one year. He is a very educated and sensitive man who perfectly carries out his difficult task in a Muslim country.

S
ome Kuwaiti women pray in front of the statue of the Madonna at the entrance of the church. They ask her to have a baby...
It is beautiful to see that there are no religious discriminations!

I
f you go to an Arabic Country, don't forget to visit a mosque! You will find in it the same peaceful atmosphere of a church. And the Kuwaiti people are happy to see that we are interested in their mosques. But remember... women must cover their heads before entering... to show respect for God.
