Every
year,, on the 25th of February,
Kuwait celebrates the advent of its Nazional day.

Kuwait
City is divided into six ring roads. The first ring road is located
in the center of Kuwait city. The ring roads expand until the
6th, outside the city center. The rings are inter-connected with
excellent roads and high-ways.

There is a
view of Istiqlal expressway (the 1st ring road) along the coastline.

In the center
of the City are the headquarters for the most important banks
of the country.

Beautiful
and modern are the shopping Centers in
Salmiya.

The Gold Market, the beautiful
gold market , is my favourite "souk"... I adore watching
for hours the windows of the jeweller's shops, that offer a great
variety of necklaces, ear-rings, bracelets, and even large golden
belts ... and when I decide to buy something (this happens after
spending hours in front of the market windows ) I start dealing
with store clerks, who kindly offer me a cup of tea... That's
why they know that the dealing in order to decide the final price
can last long... but in the end... the bargain is certainly struck!
The first time I went to the Gold market, I was astonished!
I found so many jeweller' s shops , all with open doors... It
was as they didn't have doors even... ... I asked: "Where
are the reinforced doors ?" they answered me that in Kuwait
such doors are useless because nobody dares to steal. Stealing
is.. "Haram" (a sin).
